Dim Sum is the most famous Cuisine in Chinese GuangDong, including Hong Kong. Every weekend, family get together and go to a Chinese restaurant for dim sum and chit chat.

2011 Handmade Chinese Photo Calendar Set (Photo Decoration for your Desk)

We have finally finished one of our calendar set. Exhausted for cutting them into pieces as we have tried a new printing house and we have misunderstood the cutting rules. So at last instead of machine cutting, we hand cut all the cards. 

We think people will always throw away last year calendar when it expire, so do we. That's why we create this never-expired photo calendar set. Even when you move on to 2012, you will still keep the photo set on your desk. Since when you turn around the calender, there are 12 different vintage style photos as a decoration.

2011 Calender Handmade Set for etsy

We are busy working on our etsy holiday gift set this week. We are going to create a 2011 calender. Here is some photos for the calender sets. Do you guys have any comments for us?

Handmade Calender Trial

As we are joining a holiday work camp by etsy, we have to think of doing a holiday gift set as a new product. We love photographs so we plan to use our photo works to create a calender set for 2011. Imagine those square cards (in blue and black) are the monthly schedule and back of the cards would be our photographs. So the year after, you don't have to throw away the outdated calender but you can serve it as a decoration.

We have tried out the idea last weekend with bamboo sticks and used magazine. Hope it works and you guys will like it. Check out our etsy store later. It would probably be a calender gift set with our handmade tote. It would be a perfect gift for your girls.

Chinese Vintage Black, Blue and White Check cotton Tote

Made by vintage handmade cloth which is popular in the 50-60s of China. The cloth itself is acquired from Shanghai and the tote bag is reproduced in Hong Kong.

As there’s only small quantity of each vintage handmade cloth, the bag is scarce and valuable. It is definitely a collectible and unique item.

Measurements:

12 inch (W) x 16 inch (H) (flat) approximately

Base width is approx. 9.5 inch and length is 3.5 inch.

Length of handle is 20 inch

Chinese Ancient Village Postcard Set

This set includes 8 professionally printed postcards
Postcards measure approximately 4x6"
Printed on beautiful archival fine art paper, 260g, bright white and with matte lamination.

The photos are taken by DAS. who is a pair of new and fresh designers who fancies simple yet hip design from Hong Kong.

PACKAGE of each set is UNIQUE and different. But we'll base on similar tone as above.

Here are the description of each postcard:

Postcard 1: A family produces natural tea leaves in a small old village in GuangDong Province in China.

Postcard 2: The world heritage site – FuJian TuLou buildings. It is a traditional and unique style of architecture in FuJian, China. UNESCO inscribed TuLou in 2008 as a World Heritage Site.

Postcard 3: One of the flats in FuJian TuLou buildings. It is a traditional and unique style of architecture in FuJian, China. UNESCO inscribed TuLou in 2008 as a World Heritage Site.

Postcard 4: There’re a lot of slogan and motto in China. You can see them anywhere from outside your home to public buildings. This is a motto saying ‘Maintain our country’s dignity.’ outside a temple in FuJian, China.

Postcard 5: The village where scenes of the Hollywood film ‘Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon’ were filmed.

Postcard 6: Tiny vintage postboxes in GuangDong Province, China.

Postcard 7: Outside an antique shop in AnHui Province, China. There you can see many Chairman Mao’s statues and some little decorations. The next shop is closed. You can see there’re 2 towels hanging outside. But they totally fit in the whole environment, like a part of the antique shop.
